Industrial Thermocouple
The k-type thermocouple is the most commonly used, inexpensive electrical device that can measure temperatures from 100°C to 1200°C.
This type of thermocouple is magnetic, typically made of nickel, with a property to change its output when the material reaches its Curie point at around 100°C. The k-type thermocouple functions very well in oxidizing atmospheres except when coming into contact with hydrogen, which can cause green rot.
